I have tried boinc on a dual cpu machine

Processor :
2 GenuineIntel x86 Family 6 Model 8 Stepping 6 996Mhz

my problem is that Boinc is not able to use my 2 cpu.
it only uses 1 so 50% of my ressources instead of 100%.

was the program compiled on windows without smp, hyperthread, dualcore support?

Go to your preferences and change the on multi CPU machines setting to use more CPUs. BOINC does work with multiprocessor machines automatically but has that limit in case a participant does not want all CPUs to be used.

it fixed itself and i don't know how/why.

thx anyway for the support,
maybe i had to set the number of cpu by hand, for a particular reason...
(it was already at 2) and it works fine now.
