My first piece of advice is to install the stock client from Berkeley and see if your problems persist. I'm not familiar with the third party builds of the client. If you want to continue to use the third party apps, you're better off posting on their sites to get help. [edit to fix terrible grammar] Kathryn :o) |

My first piece of advice is to install the stock client from Berkeley and see if your problems persist. I'm not familiar with the third party builds of the client. I used after V5.9.0(.32) the BOINC stock Version 5.8.16... after ~ 3 hours BOINC was frozen... But there I didn't looked to the .txt- files... I think it's maybe because of the many result- uploads... It's a QX6700 (Quad- Core), and he need ~ 1h 15 min. for a ~ 62.40 WU (4 WUs in ~ 1h 15 min. :-) And of course, the uploads are to different times... because the 4 Cores start/finish not at the same time... Now I let connect BOINC only manually with the internet... To see what happen... I thought, because of the error messages, that somebody can say what happened wrong... |

My guess would be some sort of hardware problem. Try making sure your machine is stable (Prime95 or SuperPi to test CPU and MemTest86+ to test RAM). I can confirm that MemTest is good. It found a bunch of errors in a bad stick of RAM I had in my laptop. Kathryn :o) |
