Press Win + R, type control, and hit Enter. In the Control Panel (Icons view), select Programs and features > Turn Windows Features on or off. Scroll down the Windows Features list. Check the box for Windows Subsystem for Linux to enable the service. Uncheck the box for Windows Subsystem for Linux to disable the service. Click OK.
