I am getting the following notice from BOINC World Community Grid: Notice from BOINC v 7.16.11 You are attached to this project twice. Please remove projects named World Community Grid, then add https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ I have the following items in my windows task manager bonic.exe boincmgr.exe boinctray.exe Which of those is a repeat? How do I add the https stated above, and add it to what? How do I delete them and stop them from coming back? I am also getting the notice that I am using an old version of WCG and I should delete it and then install the above https. How exactly do I do that? Thanks for the help. |

You are running a very outdated version of BOINC. That is why you are receiving the error messages. Download the latest version (Version 8.2.11 for Windows Intel-compatible 64-bit Vista/7/8/8.1/10/11) from here, save it to your computers hard drive. Remember the location where you saved it - you will need run the installer you just downloaded. Suspend/STOP all running BOINC tasks. Wait until all tasks have stopped running and then EXIT BOINC. Open the directory/folder and RUN the installer (boinc_8.2.11_windows_x86_64.exe) by double clicking the install file noted. After BOINC has completely installed** you should shut down and restart your computer. **This could take several minutes to up to 10 minutes depending on your computer, how many projects you are attached to and how many tasks you currently have downloaded. Once the computer has completed it's restart run BOINC just as before by double clicking on the Desktop BOINC icon. |
