I left my new machine on overnight and it has a bunch of completed tasks, but all seem stuck in queue. I'm running Boinc Manager 8.0.2 on Ubuntu 24 Had projects from Asteroids@home running. all stuck with deferred communication. Added Milkyway@home, these are working fine, no issues. Added climateprediction.net, deferred communication. Added World Community Grid, deferred communication. I tried my other Win10 computer's BOINC manager (same V8.0.2), everything seems ok except the website. Both computers, when I click Project web pages "Home page" for Asteroids@home, the website fails to load. I tried the same website on my phone (off wifi, using mobile data), it loaded OK. Is it possible I've been blocked/banned for some reason ? |

Added climateprediction.net, deferred communication. That is normal for CPDN when as at the moment they don't have any work. I am waiting to hear from the volunteer scientist who is working on the code for some of the CPDN task types about the next work batches. They will probably be going through the development branch of the project first before any work is released for the main site which only came back up yesterday after being down for some work on it for about two weeks. Added World Community Grid, deferred communication.Almost certainly the same as CPDN. The work flow from WCG is erratic to say the least at the moment. Best place to address the issues with projects not working is their own forums which may or may not have answers. CPDN forum I and other volunteer moderators check most days so answers usually come quite quickly though we don't know about the timetable for work yet. |

So now it's next day, there's 70-80 tasks in the "Transfers" tab from Asteroids@home, all finished with "upload: pending (project backoff: ###) for ### it's just time counting down, trying again and restarting counter over. pressing "Retry Now" does work (sets counters back to 8min+), but nothing really gets transferred. If this goes one for few more days, I might just as well hit "Abort Transfer" and call it wasted processing time. Definitely set Asteroids to not get any new tasks since I noticed the issue few days ago. Though WCG is working today, but CPDN still being marked as deferred. |

Seems everything got cleared. No more pending transfers. Any recommended projects I should add. PC is basically doing 1 task, sometimes 2 if networks behave. |

In reply to jbastan's message of 8 Mar 2025: Seems everything got cleared. No more pending transfers. I’m currently running CDPN, WCG, Rosetta, TN-Grid and SI-Dock - between them they manage to keep me busy almost all the time :-) |
