Rosetta@home shows 1.58 GB being usage. The Rosetta project shows, but there are no tasks being used or listed. So how do I get rid on that disk space or have Rosetta to using it? I do have that project set to allow more tasks.

There are close on 2 millionRosetta tasks available to process at the moment so you should be getting them.

How much memory do you have free and allocated to Boinc?

As an aside, as far as I know, and you may already know, the 1.5 GB in use is a database that is downloaded for use by tasks, and stays so it isn't downloaded fresh every time.

If you're planning on not crunching Rosetta tasks (in the short term), you can select it and choose "Reset Project" to free up the space, or detaching from Rosetta altogether. Otherwise you can set it to allow task and hope you get some of the ones in the work queue.

The status page has two sections for available tasks: one is what's being actively released, and the other, larger number (usually listed in the upper right) I think is a total number that the project will 'eventually' want analyzed.

I have 1.7 GB being used by BOINC, and 98.30 GB free for BOINC.

There's 'use up to XX%', and 'leave at least YY free'. Any conflict?

BOINC will use whichever is most restrictive so if using XX% would mean less than YY free then "Leave at least YY free" would overrule it.

I don't see any conflict. Thanks

Thanks. I did not know that 1.5 GB was just a database. I thought it was tasks to be run.

Are you running other projects?
What are your cache settings?
Are you using a manager like Science United?

Right now I'm running 5 projects, but I have had as many as 8 projects. And I am using Science United. Where do I increase my cache value?

I don't use SU personally, so I don't know if there's a way to do it through the (SU) website, but I know the BOINC program has some setting you can change "locally", that can override web-based preferences. I'm not certain that it will actually do so when connected through SU- again, I don't use it and am attached to each project "as myself". (One thing I've picked up is that each project will see you as SU, so you won't be registered to do things like posting, under your own 'name'. At least that's the impression I have from reading certain other posts, elsewhere.)

I have 32 GB of memory of which 18 is being used. If you're talking about disk space, then I have 432 GB free, and I've allocated 100 GB for BOINC.

You need a smaller cache- if you run with more than one project, you're better off with no cache at all. 0.05 days and 0.01 additional days is plenty.
The bigger the cache, the longer it takes for work already in the cache to clear before you can do work for another project that may have had no work when the cached filled up on projects that did have work at the time.

And as far as what project you run or don't run- that is up to Science United to decide. If you want to control which projects you do and if some get more processing time than others, then you need to detach from Science United & attach to each project you want to do using the BOINC Manager.

Let some of your other tasks return, then check again.

As JLDun said, allow what you have already got in your cache to be processed.

Until then, BOINC won't download more work as your cache setting is now smaller. But once the existing cache has been reduced, then it will start getting work again- however, being under Science United, there's no guarantee you'll get work form Rosetta (and there have been issues there for some months now with people being allocated work, but unable to download it due to problems with one or more of the download servers security certificates, requiring an entry in the affected system's hosts file).
