ODLK2025 seems to run fine for me.

I also encountered the "stopforumspam" hurdle when I tried joining via their website. But, the workaround is join via BOINC Manager, add new project, etc.

The BOINC project ODLK2025 has interesting software.

See
https://boinc.mak.termit.me/odlk2025/forum_thread.php?id=13

The BOINC project administrator Gerasim@Home SerVal took part in the software development.

Are you not yet participating in the BOINC project ODLK2025?

Then please try one "infinite" program

In this thread
https://boinc.mak.termit.me/odlk2025/forum_thread.php?id=22
I try to explain the strategy and tactics of searching in the project.

If you have any questions, please ask them in this thread.

The ODLK2025 project requires a helper to launch the Application for Linux OS.

See

Please write in the thread at the link provided if you can help.

Dear David P. Anderson!

I am contacting you with this question.

Is there a support group for new BOINC projects?
You once gave me an address, and I wrote to that address, but no one answered me.

If there are no enthusiasts (volunteers), maybe help is provided for money?

We have no paid support.
I may be wrong but I took the request to mean a programmer with BOINC experience who would be able and willing to take on the task.

I can definitely do that task, but I won't, because of several reasons:
1. I want to keep my mental health in its current condition.
2. The application is not stable on Windows, so before moving to Linux it should be fixed in the first place.
3. I'd say the whole application should be rewritten in something more reliable and performant.
Again, this is doable, but requires time.
Taking into the consideration all the written above by Nataliia (including additional text on her Projects' forums) in my and David's address, I don't want to work on those Projects ever.
Thank you for understanding.

Yes, you got it absolutely right.

The BOINC project administrator termit (my colleague) launched it from scratch.
He has no experience.
The project started on December 30, 2024.

It is too early to say that the project is unstable.
Yes, there are some errors, we are working on fixing them.
No one works without errors, even experienced programmers.

The project is stably provided with tasks and will always be provided.
The project produces results daily, which are available to everyone

https://boinc.mak.termit.me/odlk2025/forum_thread.php?id=12

We want to make a good project and work for it as best we can.
We know the goal of the project and how to achieve it.

We need help in developing the project on other platforms.
If anyone wants to offer help in optimizing software for Windows, we do not refuse.
The software is published.

I still hope that this help will come.

By the way, it seems that the topic subscription doesn't work here.
I don't get notifications about new messages.

Why?

You have answered a question that was addressed to David P. Anderson.
Are you authorized to do so?

I propose to create a paid (or free) support group for new BOINC projects.
This applies not only to the ODLK2025 project.
There are many mathematicians (and scientists in other fields) who cannot start BOINC projects on their own.

I know another example where a very good project was not implemented in the multitasking BOINC project Gerasim@Home.
I participated in that project manually.
I still don't know why that project was not implemented.

By the way, you, Vitalii Koshura, wanted to help Hugo launch the BOINC project.
I did not participate in your communication with Hugo.
Why was the project BOINC not launched?

Yes.

That would be really nice if there are any volunteers who want to start doing that.
BOINC maintainers have no available manpower for that, unfortunately.

I don't recall details, but the application of Hugo was not (at that moment) designed in a way to work good on BOINC platform.

Hugo's software worked perfectly in manual mode.
I used this software in manual mode.

After all, it is the adaptation of software for the BOINC platform that is the main difficulty in launching a BOINC project.
It is clear that Hugo could not do this adaptation on its own.

BOINC maintainers have no available manpower for that, unfortunately.

It is not necessary to look for volunteers among BOINC maintainers.
I find enthusiasts!
Progger (Russia, BOINC project ODLK), Stefano Tognon (Italy, BOINC project ODLK1),
Tomas Brada (Slovakia, project stopped), Demis (Russia, BOINC project SPT), termit (Russia, BOINC project ODLK2025).

There are many people in the world who know how to launch a BOINC project.
Find them!
Create a support group.
Dozens of people will say "thank you".

By the way, I invite the first assistant to the BOINC project SPT
https://boinc.termit.me/adsl/

The application running in the project will be stopped.
It has exhausted itself.
This is an old program from 10 years ago.
I plan to launch a new application using my algorithm.
It will be a different algorithm, not the one that works in the ODLK2025 project.

termit does not want to work in two projects, it is hard for him.

The first task is to launch a new Application for Windows and Linux.
The software is based on the same scheme that works in the ODLK2025 project.
If you can suggest a better scheme (more productive), please.
I provide only a working program, which is written in the PARI/GP language.
It is clear that you can rewrite the program, for example, in C++, and it will work faster.
A programmer on the dxdy.ru forum even uses ASM, and this, as he claims, speeds up the program by 1000 times.

That fact that it worked in manual mode doesn't mean it's suitable to run by BOINC client.

Ok, you have stated the names, that means that you have found them. Then why writing here? Write those people. Take the leadership and help yourself and other projects. Why delegating this to us?

I named the people who responded to my request to launch a BOINC project.
Some of them are still working, they cannot work in two or more projects.

As I already wrote, termit cannot work in two projects at once.
He also has a main job, and he simply physically does not have enough time.

I cannot create a support group, because I do not have any authority to do so.
So I turned to David P. Anderson.

By the way, I remember there was an attempt to create such a general server that would accept applications for small BOINC projects.
This attempt was not successful.
Too bad!
