Well here is s a BOINC project. dodo@home We're embarking on one heck of a journey, one with a thousand steps... our ultimate aim is to bring the Dodo back from extinction. Using our unique software and your help, we will decode the genome AND many, many others along the way. Join us and let’s make history! Together, we will make the saying 'as dead as a dodo' a thing of the past. https://team.dodoathome.com/dodo/ |

In reply to Bill Freauff's message of 8 Nov 2024: Well here is s a BOINC project. dodo@homeLooks very interesting, but until the project shows up on the official BOINC Science projects page, as well as the different stats pages, I'm not going to join the project. |

After having a mail conversation with Jay, on the project, I decided to join the project. New work probably at the end of this week. |

Worth knowing about this project: The company that is behind this project, is "Colossal Biosciences". One of the investors are "In-Q-Tel", the CIA’s venture capital firm which invests in technology. This is for sure a for profit project, and they will with outmost certainty not share the results freely. I'm really not sure about this project, and if I really want to be a part of it. Do your own research though, before you join. Read more: Bring back the dodo bird? Ambitious plan draws investors and critics |

10-days of total silence from the team. No new work despite having promised new work at the end of last week. Still not added to the BOINC list of Science projects, or to BoincStats. |

In reply to Grumpy Swede's message of 19 Nov 2024: 10-days of total silence from the team. No new work despite having promised new work at the end of last week. Seems appropriate given the name of the project. |
