Hi, My OS is Linux Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS, and I'm running BOINC as an 'anonymous' user (BOINC Client 7.19.0) with Einstein@Home, GPUGrid@Home, Milkyway@Home and Asteroids@Home. In my BOINC event log, and other teammates I might add, there seems to be no recognition of our 3090 GPU's. I actually have GPU=0 as a 3080 and GPU=1 as a 3090, but in my particular case, it is shown as a 3080. It seems to revert to whatever is the next best GPU. Case in point: From my settings in Ubuntu 24.04.1 And my event log in BOINC Sat 02 Nov 2024 03:19:46 PM CDT | | Starting BOINC client version 7.19.0 for x86_64-pc-linux-gnu Sat 02 Nov 2024 03:19:46 PM CDT | | This a development version of BOINC and may not function properly Sat 02 Nov 2024 03:19:46 PM CDT | | log flags: file_xfer, sched_ops, task, sched_op_debug Sat 02 Nov 2024 03:19:46 PM CDT | | Libraries: libcurl/8.5.0 OpenSSL/3.0.13 zlib/1.3 brotli/1.1.0 zstd/1.5.5 libidn2/2.3.7 libpsl/0.21.2 (+libidn2/2.3.7) libssh/0.10.6/openssl/zlib nghttp2/1.59.0 librtmp/2.3 OpenLDAP/2.6.7 Sat 02 Nov 2024 03:19:46 PM CDT | | Data directory: /home/george/Desktop/BOINC Sat 02 Nov 2024 03:19:46 PM CDT | | CUDA: NVIDIA GPU 0: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 (driver version 550.99, CUDA version 12.4, compute capability 8.6, 24253MB, 23973MB available, 37786 GFLOPS peak) Sat 02 Nov 2024 03:19:46 PM CDT | | CUDA: NVIDIA GPU 1: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (driver version 550.99, CUDA version 12.4, compute capability 8.6, 10000MB, 8627MB available, 31334 GFLOPS peak) Sat 02 Nov 2024 03:19:46 PM CDT | | OpenCL: NVIDIA GPU 0: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 (driver version 550.120, device version OpenCL 3.0 CUDA, 24253MB, 23973MB available, 37786 GFLOPS peak) Sat 02 Nov 2024 03:19:46 PM CDT | | OpenCL: NVIDIA GPU 1: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (driver version 550.120, device version OpenCL 3.0 CUDA, 10000MB, 8627MB available, 31334 GFLOPS peak) While BOINC does recognize my 3090, it does not recognize it correctly. FWIW, my motherboard calls the slot closest to the CPU as PCIe1x16, and I would call that GPU=0. Please get this problem resolved as soon as possible. Thanks, George |
