Saw this in manager today. I have never signed up for app_testproject I don't understand unless this is something that has appeared in the latest nightly build of 8.1.0?

If I select the project and remove it, it returns next time I start the client.

There are several references to app_test at GitHub - the most useful is probably in the wiki at https://github.com/BOINC/boinc/wiki/AppDebug

I would mention it to Vitalii and/or David directly - it looks to be pretty new, and they may not have done it right.

I have filed a bug report. It wasn't there yesterday so must have been the update to latest master today (packaged not self build). The event log also tells me network activity has been turned off user request which it hasn't and the activity tab shows network activity always. I will see if this is resolved with tomorrow's update.

I also tried a clean install in a VM and get the same issue.

Oops! I neglected to remove some debugging code.
Fixed in #5860

I will update tomorrow. It seems to happen remarkably infrequently but this is the risk I accept by using the nightly build.

But it's a reminder that not everything called v8.1.0 is ready for the big time...

All working normally as far as I can see this morning.
