First of all: can not install latest BOINC. I had BOINC running, searched for updated via the menu, got message of new update. Error when installing according to screenshot. I have tried administrative rights for the installation file. I could not attach screenshot, so I write the error message here: --- "The feature you are trying to use is on a netweork resource that is unavaiable. Click ok to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containging the installation package BOINC.msi in the box below". ---- Of cource my hard drive is available and it is not on a network, it´s local on my computer. And it is not locked or anything else. I can install other programs just fine and always update BOINC without problems inte the past. Second I tried to change the path to another folder where BOINC.msi exists, but that would still not work. "The file C:/Winodws/Downloaded installations/(1497830............../BOINC.msi i not a valid installation package for the product BOINC. Try to find the installation package BOINC.msi in a folder from which you can install BOINC". Third: In addition my account is missing when I tried to renew my password, my email adress were not avaible for BOINC to do the "forgot password"-help thing. Ok.. so a lot of things not working in this case. Thank you for help. Br M |

See https://boinc.mundayweb.com/wiki/index.php?title=Windows_Installer_Error_1706:_Setup_cannot_find_the_required_files, step 1 is usually the only step you need. |

Hi! Thank you for the link as well as your reply! I actually spontaneosly tried to uninstall BOINC with Revouninstaller + delete all Boinc files and registry via Revouninstaller. I was then able to install Boinc again. Br //M |
