1. low network speed utilization for downloading tasks, at least 1 gigabit connections should be fully utilized, if project servers can handle it, 10 gigabit would be better. 2. The commands that can be edited/added in the CC-config file, the ones that make sense to change for modern computers and network speeds, compared to when BOINC was launched, should be changed by default, like skipping CPU benchmarks, and download more than 2 simultanious tasks at once. |

In reply to kasdashdfjsah's message of 18 Sep 2024: 1. low network speed utilization for downloading tasks, at least 1 gigabit connections should be fully utilized, if project servers can handle it, 10 gigabit would be better. CPU Benchmarks should always be run on first install and periodically thereafter - the values generated are important to the system and vary massively across machines. |

Ok. Though I've experienced no problems disabling it, and it's made the software faster, as far as I can tell, but fair enough :) |

Personally, I think two uploads and two downloads is OK as the default. It would be nice to be able to change it from the manager rather than editing cc_config.html though. (My connection is more bored band than broad band. Even with a limit of 2 uploads and downloads at a time, the relatively large files from CPDN often take half an hour or longer to go through.) |
