Hi,
Just out of curiosity, I tried to compile Boinc (client 5.8.8+gui and 5.9.2+gui) for Linux (I'm using Mandriva 2007)
Everything works fine except that the Wizard to attach to a new projet or to an account manager doesn't work.
I have a little window with the coffee cup at the left, but all the text is missing: there are just the buttons Next, Back and Cancel .

There is no error message in the compilation messages and the simple Gui is working perfectly (I found that strange because the simple Gui is far more complicated than the Wizard)

I have just a few warnings (3 or 4) saying something like:

common/wxPieCtrl.cpp:399: warning: 'BeginDrawing' is deprecated (declared at /usr/include/wx-2.7/wx/dc.h:138)
common/wxPieCtrl.cpp:417: warning: 'EndDrawing' is deprecated (declared at /usr/include/wx-2.7/wx/dc.h:139)

or

In file included from sg_ViewTabPage.cpp:38:
sg_ImageButton.h:60:8: warning: no newline at end of file

Nothing more.

I'm using wxgtk2.7-2.7.0 and its libraries. Do I have to installed another package ?
Or do you have an idea why the Wizard doesn't work properly ?

5.9.2+gui is probably broken. Don't use development versions of the GUI, it's really in big development as the name says :) Get 5.8.8 GUI too.
