I recovered statistics from projects that I inadvertently deleted by clearing non-running tasks. I rejoined all the deleted projects through boinc manager and my statistics were available. The statistics total for all the projects looks to be accurate. However, the total is displayed as a single data point at the current and is not shown as a timeline graph over a time period as it used to be. I have reincorporated the recovered project statistics and run boinc for more for a week or so, yet the display still shows a single data point. Any idea of how to recover the timeline? thanks, tom kosvic |

Which projects and how long are they running full time? Most importantly have you completed and reported any tasks since rejoining the projects? Just wanting to rule out the obvious issue of not completed tasks in the time. |

You deleted the history held within Boinc Manager when you detached from the project and you’re not going to get it back unless you have a backup from before that point. It will build up again over the next ?30? days, if you need the data for reference purposes and you allowed export then it will still be in BoincStats or the like. If new data points are not being added within Boinc Manager then, as Dave says, it is likely that you have not completed any new tasks successfully. |

I am currently running 9 concurrent tasks of asteroids@home that take about an hour each. So daily I am running and have been running and reporting about 150+ tasks per day for this project. This is for more than two weeks since I reinstated the mistakenly deleted projects. Asteroid@home is still seen in the graph as a single point and not a time series. The single point is plotted a day behind the current day which does make sense. The magnitude (ordinate) of the single point is of the magnitude that looks to be total of the 6 projects (asteroid@home + 5 deleted and reinstated projects) I have done work on. Also, who constructed a graph with 3 day major increments along the abscissa. In the first week of engineering school freshman year you learn that all graph increments should always be 1,2,or 5 or some multiple of those. tom kosvic |

Just looked at your results on asteroids@home which confirms that your tasks are completing and being validated fine. Have you checked the asteroids message boards in case it is something to do with their server at the moment? If not, I am running out of ideas. |

I don't know what happened but I started getting a time series plot of statistics in boinc manager. The plot starts at 12 feb 2024 and shows a daily point plot up through 1 march 2024. No idea what happened between yesterday and today but problem seems solved; at least until next time it happens. Total value of ordinate looks right. Thanks all for looking at this for me. tom kosvic |
