I'm an (almost) double-decade BOINCer - and you confused me.

Simplify.

Just a 'this is BOINC' paragraph, and a 'click here' to get started. All the other stuff >on the Home Page< is as useless as poop on drum. >>>Use links<<<.

As for my friend? I'm giving her >only< the Wikipedia link, >without promo< from me.

I like her way to much to shove your Home Page in her face.

To me it seems relatively straightforward. The only thing I would get rid of on the front page is the stuff about Science United which takes control over which projects you take part in.

I actually like having a bit more information on the front page without having to search for it.
