Hello everyone. I have installed BOINC on my old Samsung A22 phone, so it doesn't sit in the drawer doing nothing. It worked fine for about an hour, and now suddenly the computing is suspended. The app says: Computing will resume when battery charge reaches 30% (currently 97%). Restarting the phone doesn't work. I have set the battery usage for BOINC to unrestricted in Android settings. BOINC version is 7.24.1, Android version 13. Any help would be much appreciated :) edit: Reinstalling the app solved the problem (for now). I'll see how it goes in the next few hours. |

This is a known issue. Developers are aware of the problem. See related posts in the topic 7.24.1 fails to adhere to suspend settings. There's instructions there as what to try until a solution can be provided. |

Hi, thanks for your reply :) As far as I can see, the solution is for Windows 11, whereas my problem is on an Android device. The error reappeared after the battery level fell under the specified threshold, even though the battery is now recharged. |

Sorry, wrong topic/link.. Correct one; Message boards : Android : Annoying bug And here's the link to the work in progress> Known bug, see #5305 for progress on its development. Basically it's an Android "battery / power saver" interference problem. Currently the only know workaround right now is to adjust the device battery/ power saver settings and to exclude BOINC from these options as noted in above links. |
