SCI is proud to release a suite of business cards, flyers, and other promotional materials to help promote BOINC and its awesome projects. There is a business card for each project, along with some general BOINC promotional materials available in our Github Repository. These are openly licensed so you are free to print your own, modify them to suit your needs, and distribute them however and wherever you'd like. Repo link: https://github.com/TheSCInitiative/BOINC-Promotion-and-Flyers/tree/main/cards The cards contain a link and QR code which redirects to each project's website. The links are redirected through SCI's site so we can measure the impact these cards are making. If you know of any other publicly-available promotional materials for BOINC, please let us know so we can add them to our repo. The Science Commons Initiative is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to rebuilding the bridge of trust and participation between the public and science. We also sponsor a bug bounty board for BOINC and more. To stay updated on our work, you can subscribe to our free newsletter on substack: https://thesciencecommons.substack.com/ PS We reached out to each project for feedback on what they'd like to see on the cards but many projects did not respond. If you are a project admin who would like some of the text on your card changed or have any questions please contact contact{at}thesciencecommons.org. Thanks! |

Know that the SCI does not have an official BOINC affiliation or backing. It would be nice if SCI posted about that in their postings. |

Yes to clarify, SCI is a 501(c)(3) not officially affiliated with BOINC Berkeley. We just think it's an awesome project and want to contribute to its promotion and growth. We have many long-term BOINC users on our volunteer board. |

This is excellent! This one's my favorite: https://github.com/TheSCInitiative/BOINC-Promotion-and-Flyers/blob/main/cards/BOINC-BOLD-1.png I like how you made icons for each of them too: https://github.com/TheSCInitiative/BOINC-Promotion-and-Flyers/blob/main/cards/projects/SiDock-1.png One idea, can I order any of these as mini stickers that would fit on a laptop? Or is it possible to assemble all icons into a poster, something like the Periodic Table posters do? http://home.theodoregray.com/bookproducts/beautiful-periodic-table-posters Love your work by the way! David described BOINC as a giant project turning publicity into research, and it's wonderful seeing folks figure out how to generate that publicity. |
