boinc 5.8.6-gnu

The preferences menu has desappearred and is replaced by "shutdown connected client": that option tries to connect to the selected host without success because the service is stopped by that option: how to restart the service via the manager is a mystery: back to command-line :o)
The total disk usage is in black and white and grey: no color at all.

The preferences menu item appearing on 5.8.5 was an accident (shouldn't have been there), it was far from being ready to be on a release. And from what you said, "shutdown connected client" seems to have done what it's supposed to do.

Well, that "accident" is very welcome for the translators, as we can check the results of our translations: it's very usefull because translating blindly the Manager is sometimes difficult.
