On my 5 windows version 11 machines: BOINC version 7.22.2 the CPU busy suspend is to aggressive. Four of these machines are running ONLY world community grid. There is a suspend, 20 seconds delay, resume nearly every minute. Seems to happen more when the terminal is disconnected. I have seen it once when the terminal is connected. I backed off to 7.20.2. I can return one machine to 7.22 if needed to capture logs. What logs would be needed. Here is an example of the time stats log: 1687345714.072197 platform windows_x86_64 1687345714.072197 version 7.20.2 1687345714.072197 power_on 1687345724.202553 net_connected 1687397130.935442 power_off 1687397121.343864 power_off 1687397178.698051 platform windows_x86_64 1687397178.698051 version 7.22.2 1687397178.698051 power_on 1687397188.837769 net_connected 1687397188.837769 proc_stop 1687397219.018579 proc_start 1687398205.904610 proc_stop 1687398225.997150 proc_start 1687398236.111814 proc_stop 1687398256.228867 proc_start 1687398839.475801 proc_stop 1687398859.589563 proc_start 1687398869.702044 proc_stop 1687398889.936684 proc_start 1687398900.015049 proc_stop 1687398920.135353 proc_start 1687398950.338329 proc_stop 1687398970.426491 proc_start 1687399523.526583 proc_stop 1687399543.634151 proc_start 1687399573.828831 proc_stop 1687399593.962645 proc_start 1687400237.543041 proc_stop 1687400257.677202 proc_start 1687400267.799217 proc_stop 1687400287.916378 proc_start 1687400308.288359 proc_stop 1687400328.542234 proc_start 1687400338.657242 proc_stop 1687400358.771242 proc_start 1687400388.968033 proc_stop 1687400409.076168 proc_start 1687400921.845201 proc_stop 1687400941.980391 proc_start 1687400962.216885 proc_stop 1687400982.336214 proc_start 1687400992.452772 proc_stop .... |

On my 5 windows version 11 machines: BOINC version 7.22.2 the CPU busy suspend is to aggressive. Is this down to the new computing preferences menu which has different settings for when computer is in use and when not in use? When changing settings without wearing my glasses I didn't notice I was changing the wrong settings and wondered why it made no difference! Have you tried changing the settings or unchecking the suspend while computer is in use options? |
