CPDN now has 64 bit tasks for Linux. First full sized batch of 3,000 tasks poured into the hopper today. Four currently running on my machine. Long term these will also be available for Windows machines with an image to run under VB.

Edit: You should be able to get some now Richard.

Best restrict these to powerful machines with a good internet connection. They have a high RAM demand per task, and upload a 14 MB result file several times an hour.

I'm still unable to create an account over at CPDN. The issue has been brought up on their message board, but nobody's responded or looked into it for a while.

Just tried using a browser that won't autofill my current details and couldn't get past the capture. I will email Andy. On a previous occasion, I tried this and did get past it. Edit: Tried on a third browser and it worked. I seemed to need to wait till the squares I clicked on blanked out. Don't know if that would have happened on first browser I tried if I waited a bit longer or not.

May I ask what browser worked for you? So far I've not been able to get past this Captcha error on: Firefox (linux), Edge (linux), Safari (iOS), Edge (win11), Edge in IE Mode (win11). I've waited until the squares completely blank out and then some.

I tried Tor which failed, then Konqueror which worked eventually though I was still convinced I had it right a number of times before it eventually accepted it. I don't have enough data to be certain it was the browser so probably wise not to assume that is what made the difference. CPDN is not the only website I have had problems with on that sort of captcha. I can't remember what it was but there was one I ended up playing the audio version to get in.

Do you use an ad blocker add on or does your web browser have a built-in blocker?

In my experience Captur is ad-blocker neutral. I run ad blockers of various breeds on most of my PCs and is Captur is having an off day and refusing to accept one's entry it doesn't make any difference. It does appear that it gets the squares wrong and then you are in for a whole lot of hurt for some time.

I've tried with multiple browsers, some freshly downloaded (e.g. Falkon) that I've never used before so have no extensions or anything. Every browser I've tried has failed.

There was a change at how reCaptcha's worked. The developers put a fix in, but that fix still needs to be implemented at the projects.

Uploads update Mon 12th

Have just heard from CPDN. There was a major failure in the cloud system they use at the weekend. It will take a day or two to move over to a new system before uploads will work again.
(this affects all CPDN sub-projects, not just IFS)

Almost all. If you look at the server status page you will see there are still users completing WAH2 tasks currently 7 users in last 24 hours.

And it seems to me this is another reason why selective suspending of uploads/downloads should be part of BOINC. At least the ability to do it by project.

Two users reporting uploads working again on CPDN boards. Not for me but I suspect this is congestion and will improve in a few hours time.

Working for me now and users with fast fibre to house connections reporting the changes made are maxing out their connections when uploading.

Problems with Jasmin. A few TB of data from crunchers uploaded and then it fell over. From project staff
I am afraid you are right. It's lost both it's SSH and HTTP ports again. I have sent another email to Matt in JASMIN Support to ask him to investigate this again tomorrow morning.
