You're right about Intel dotting all the I's and crossing all the T's and generally don't rush things to market. even on their relatively new Xe products, the OpenCL driver support is great. something that can't be said for AMD products even on more mature products. there's no doubt that the new Intel DGPUs will be at least mid-range performers. latest leaks and rumors have it around RTX 3070/Ti performance. The DG1 (a low end discrete GPU that's already been released, basically a laptop GPU on a discrete AIC offered in some pre-built systems) already performs near the level of a GT1030. and the DG1 is only 80 EU vs the 96 EU in my particular laptop (Framework, i7-1165G7). New cards are expected to have up to 512 EUs. |
