I found two inconvenient limitations of BOINC Manager: 1st: I would like to set a given time/hours schedule for downloads but I would like BOINC to upload at any time a task finishes. I am not able to do this with the current options. 2nd: If you disable one of the two options under Daily Schedule (computation or network) and then want to re-enable it, the previously set time/hours are not reset, they have been forgotten - you have to set them again; this does not seem a very helpful UI/UX. |

If you want the developers to see this, you need to create an account and request the feature(s) on git-hub where they will see it. (I still wouldn't hold my breath though!) |

I think the first issue can be fixed in app_config.xml |

Set hours of operation in the Manager >> Options >> Daily Schedules along with <report_results_immediately>1</report_results_immediately> in cc_config.xml >> Proxy Info section. This will upload all finished results immediately and you can leave your daily operational schedule in play. |

A schedule can't be set via app_config.xml. There are only a few options that can. See: https://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Client_configuration#Project-level_configuration Everything not mentioned there will be ignored. Currently the only way to solve issue "1st" would be a self made script that sets all projects to "NNT" and resumes work fetch at given time(s). |

A schedule can't be set via app_config.xml. Read the post again. I never stated that a daily schedule can be set via app_config. I posted where to find the daily schedule settings in the BOINC Manager. Report results immediately works in ALL cases. |
