I was wondering which BOINC projects are open-source? Thanks |

Most of them are. I only know of one project that doesn't publish its source code for their application. The acemd3 code is not published by GPUGrid because it is owned by Accelera. |

What about ODLK and ODLK1? No clue. Never run them. Ping the admins and ask them for their repository URL. |

The programs run by climateprediction.net are owned by the UK Meteorological Office, and so are not open source. |

What about World Community Grid? I thought I read a post within the last week that had a URL link to OPNG project software, but I can't find it now. Unsure. |

What about World Community Grid? The main working component for the covid-19 project (Autodock for GPU) is at https://github.com/ccsb-scripps/AutoDock-GPU But WCG themselves add a lot of packaging to make it run under BOINC - I'm not sure if that is open-source. And WCG runs multiple science projects: whether each working component is open-source will depend on each separate research group/institution. |
