There was a typo in one of my recent message titles so I went to edit the message. I tried three times, but the change did not show up in the preview. It was only one letter, so I gave up and clicked OK. Much to my surprise, the added letter appeared as intended in the posted title. This has got to be one of the most trivial bugs in the history of the interwebs, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. Or maybe it's actually a feature. It would have been fun to have found this yesterday. Cheers, y'all, and TGIF. |

By default all web browsers have a built-in temporary storage (cache) and read from that first before trying to get a new page from the internet. It seems the change you made was so small it was missed by your browser and it was still reading from cache. You can use the Blue Preview button below the edit box to see what your post Will look like before hitting the Green Post button. This should avoid the browser from not missing such a minor change but anything is possible with computers. Here's an article that explains the cache and how it works. |
