Collecting dust, really. Now with the new anti-spam software being around on the forums here (and on CPDN and Leiden) it's going to be dull here. :-)

Yeah, but on the cpdn forum where it's been installed, we haven't had a spammer for over 3 years and that person apologised as soon as we explained we didn't want to read about his company or his special offer. I notice that the mods have no Ban button there. Does this mean there's now only one Ban button - deep inside the server? And can the server ban the mods? Extreme Auto-Modding.

What the extra code does is check against an external site if the poster's name, the contents of his post and for upcoming code, the contents of Private Messages is SPAM or not. Get a couple of posts too many that will get automatically blocked and your IP address gets blocked on that server.

Since the goal is to get all projects to use this code, it's best not to go test this on the various projects, as after the first time you tested it, your IP address is flagged already on the external site. Get over the threshold and you can't post anywhere, until you're unblocked on the external site.

That's why I couldn't offer Milo help in testing it on CPDN. I had already tested it on the test site. ;-)
