BOINC 7.16.11 is the last version that can install and run on MacOS 10.7 and 10.8
BOINC 7.16.13 can install and run on MacOS 10.9 and above.

What it says on https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php isn't true, that 7.16.11 works on MacOS 10.7.0 - 10.15.7, but we have to wait until we find someone who can edit the page before this changes.
The logic that decides which version you get when going to https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php may also be flawed, we're looking into that.

Keep the above as guide line.

Sorry, but the moderator's post is incorrect. The information on https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php is correct, but some people have reported a problem with the digital signature on 7.16.13 which we will be investigating. BOINC 7.16.11 works on all versions of MacOS from 10.7 and later, though there is a problem with the screensaver when running on MacOS 11 Big Sur. That screensaver issue (only on Big Sur) is the reason for my release of BOINC 7.16.13.

I'm having a problem with BOINC 7.16.13 and Mac OS Big SUR 11.0.1. The computer, a MacBook Air crashes when left alone and BOINIC is running.

This problem seems to be fixed in Mac OS 11.1.

I spoke to soon. BOINC still crashes my computer with Mac OS 11.1.

Running Big Sur 11.0.1
Boinc 7.16.11
Boinc just stops. no clue in the log file. It just says Exiting.

This is the bit where it stops and I later restart it.

The computer crashing problem seems to be fixed with Mac OS Big Sur Version 11.2 Beta and BOINC Version 7,16,14.

Once again I spoke too soon. Mac OS Big Sur Version 11.2 Beta and BOINC Version 7,16,14 still crashes the computer.

I upgraded to 7.16.14 I'm still having problems. Boinc just exits. I have to manually restart it a couple times a day... thinking of writing a script to check if it is running and if not restart, but it just seems silly that it keeps exiting. My WUs are validating fine when they are finally finished. There is just lost processing time as I have to keep restarting it.

Any suggestions? log extensions to try? anything to try? this is so annoying.
