The events in California definitely count as "chaos and destruction" by Canadian standards as well, but that is irrelevant. There are significant differences between Canadian and UK social and legal standards which simply do not apply anywhere in the USA. For example, in Canada, the rights of the many outweigh the rights of the few; in the US, it seems as that is turned around. Also, in Canada, one cannot say whatever one wishes -- if a "reasonable person could reasonably conclude" that some particular statement might induce another person to commit a hate crime, then the person making that statement can be prosecuted for hate speech; that is not possible under US law.

Very close to Incitement to Violence (or riot or insurrection) which are illegal on this side of the border.

Even though I myself am a harsh critic of the Israeli government I thought they should have pulled the feed on that one.

UK Is Banning Websites Now

YouTube video. Hardly an authorative source. I don't go to YouTube or X for news indeed since Musk bought it I don't look at the latter at all even to see why people are posting links to it. The YT video is talking about the Ofcom website and its rather ill demands that websites all over the world conform to their age restrictions or be blocked to the UK public.

Who decided that you can't think for yourself and decide what is harmful content? Why should the government decide for you what is harmful content? Think about that. That's called censorship.

As for not trusting news sites, you trust the BBC to inform you correctly on all world news?
