Ok, this might be slightly different. Now when my screen saver tries to run, it not only goes to blank screen, but crashes so i have to give it the three finger salute and manually stop the process. I've tried reinstalling. Any Ideas? |

Have you looked here for starters? If that didn't help, give more information, please. Operating System, BOINC version, which project is this on, which videocard? |

What happens if you disable the screensaver (set to 'blank' in display properties?). Which project(s) are involved? |

Your last message on the Seti forums says: I thought it would be, but i can hit the show graphics button and view what would be in the screen saver that way. (source) My question would then be, did you make sure you allowed all parts of BOINC to talk to each other through your firewall? All parts meaning boinc.exe, boincmgr.exe and boinc.scr They all need to be able to communicate with each other on TCP port 31416. |

Ok, all parts are now in my firewall as allowed programs. Boinc.scr still crashes shortly after it loads. Any other ideas? Thanks for helping me BTW |

What happens if you disable the screensaver (set to 'blank' in display properties?). Which project(s) are involved? If i use any other screen saver it functions normally. Its only boinc.scr and the only project i'm connected to i Seti. |

Just checking something. Look up Boinc.scr (it's in c:\\windows\\), right click on it, properties, tell me which version number it has. Your 7600 GS should be able to do OpenGL with two fingers in its nose. No problems playing OpenGL games? (Doom 3, Quake 4, Far Cry, you name it). |
