With the return of up to date self extracting BOINC for Linux,
https://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/boinc_ubuntu_7.16.6_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu.sh

Would it be theoretically possible to add the 32bit libs that a few projects need in order to not crash tasks to that self extracting archive? This would save a lot of crashed tasks if it can be done!

I don't think it can be done, because the 32bit libraries are distro dependent: https://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Installing_BOINC#64_Bit_Considerations
