I think yoyo@home has some work for PPC platform. But my suggestion is to compile Tn-Grid for your platform (https://gene.disi.unitn.it/test): the source code is very easy and can be compiled only by executing scripts present in the source tree (of course you have to modify them by inserting ppc instead of x86); plus it requires very few ram and runs very good even on very old machines. Moreover, there is interest in its community to port the project to other platforms soon, such as Mips@OpenWRT and Arm@Android, so perhaps if you write in the forum it can be possible that some guy compiles the app for you (I could try but I do not have a ppc computer for testing) if you are not able to do it on your own. It is a very interesting biology project and they are doing right now also researches on coronavirus. Cheers :) |

https://einsteinathome.org/apps.php Einstein seems to have work for PPC on Mac Os X. I do not know it they actually send work for this platform, if you try let me know that I am curious ;) |

EAH updated its SSL system four years again and the 10.5.8-compatible BOINC client can no longer communicate with it. It's possible there's still work for those with the know-how to recompile with a more up-to-date SSL certificate, but essentially PowerPC Macs and Mac OS 10.5.8 are no longer supported. NG |
