Hello,

When i click the "Show Graphics" button on BOINC 5.4.9 on my Linux machine, nothing happens.

No graphics appear, and in fact, no window even appears for the graphics to be shown in.

Does anyone know how i might be able to fix this?

Thanks in advance! :-)

Did you click on a WU to select it BEFORE clicking the Show graphics button?

Which application did you try? I notice that you run Rosetta (which is the only application I have running under Linux) and I've seen it mentioned on one of the message boards that the graphics module for Rosetta on Linux hasn't yet been written.

SETI, Einstein, Monte Carlo (QMC) all have clickable "Show graphics" buttons, but i don't get graphics for any of them.

I don't know if it makes a difference, but i run all my boinc stuff under a different user account (username: boinc) and when i run the boinc_manager, i SSH into localhost with X11 Forwarding to effectively run the GUI as if i was logged in as boinc.

This shouldn't make a difference though, i export my display with stuff like this a lot with things that need to open new windows, and they work fine (i.e. the "Open" dialog in OpenOffice etc...), so this shouldn't be any different, surely...
