If the download was the size of a Linux distro, I could understand it. Unless in the future BOINC becomes bloated out of all recognition, I see no point.

For the home user, It would be interesting to download long term task pack in a torrent; however,
such a torrent would have to be generated, downloaded by less than a handful of people, and finished.

From a perspective of transferring tasks to an offline computer, it might be interesting.

The practicality of it might not really be worth the effort...
