I receive copies of mails concerning BOINC developments. Recently, there has been a lot of talk about 716.4, 64 bit only, etc.the talk seems to revolve around Windows 7 and Windows 10. As my machines run Windows 8.1 64 bit, I was a little curious as to what was happening. Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream. |

Pretty certain they will run on 8.1 I am more worried about running under WINE on Linux as recently I have failed to get BOINC 64 bit to run under WINE though I don't know if the issue is with boinc or with WINE and don't really know enough to start working out which. |

That is what I would have expected. It is the very obvious "lack of mention" that piqued my interest. Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream. |

Indeed, but knowing who has connected, does not confirm who will still be able to connect. I was not overly concerned, it was the absence of mention in the quite large number of mails I'd seen. The number of Windows 7 there is a little surprising. Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream. |
