It won't help much to save your screen if they are static. Anyway, Seti has a way to emulate its Classic screen saver. Other projects are build so as much as possible moves in the screen saver, to prevent burn in. |

Is there a way to watch the"screensaver" graphics without it moving? I presume that this is related to the Seti screensaver. This is the Boinc forum not Seti, but here are a couple of link that will probably help. Customizing SETI@home graphics Screen Saver & Graphics Display - SETI@Home Classic (Emulation) Note: Be aware that if your monitor is an LCD or Plasma type, it is not a good idea to keep a static image on the screen for a prolonged period of time, as the image could burn a ghost into the screen. It is best to have the screensaver go to black after a few minutes or use the computers power option feature to power down the monitor. Boinc V 7.4.36 Win7 i5 3.33G 4GB NVidia 470 |
