Hi. I have BOINC 5.4 installed on Ubuntu Linux (Edgy Eft). Somehow, BOINC is not detecting that the computer is inactive. SETI keeps running, even if I move the mouse or type on the keyboard. Can anyone help me with this problem? Thanks, Sean |

A couple of things to check. On your BOINC preference page on Seti (Your Account - General Preference) make sure that 'Do work when computer is in use' is set to "NO". Update through BOINC Manager. In BOINC manager, make sure it's set to 'Run based on preferences'. If those are both correct, then someone who knows something about Linux will have to help. Kathryn :o) |

OK. Well. I don't know then. Maybe someone who actually knows something about Linux will wander by soon. Sorry. Kathryn :o) |

Kinda weird. I restarted BOINC and haven't had problems again. ???? Thanks anyway, Sean |
