/edit ... mods ... please move this to the web interface message board ... thnx

When I look at the CPU Host breakdown, my CPU type is listed twice. If both sets of data are actually for the same CPU, I think the listings should be merged into one.

I sorted the CPU Host breakdown list (for SETI) by the CPU field and copied data records 302 and 311 below.

302 AMD Sempron(tm) 2400+ 1,588 8,817,331.84 18,019.96 5,552.48 11.35

311 AMD Sempron(tm) 2400+ 1,646 8,199,554.22 17,150.98 4,981.50 10.42

AMD Sempron(tm) 2400+ is spelled exactly the same in each entry.

Does anyone know why there would be two listings for one CPU type?

I wonder whether one should say 2400 and the other 2400+. Could you post a link to the page which I've never seen?

I tried to attach a link to the page in question but I get an error when I try to open it ... Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in /home/boincstats/includes/deeplinks.php on line 18

I will try again later.

Basically I was viewing my SETI statistics and noticed a CPU Host Breakdown link on the left. I followed that link and looked for my CPU type by filtering the list by CPU type and scrolling down.

MY CPU is an AMD Sempron(tm) 2400+ ... and there are two listings for this exact text string

Thanks, I've looked at the list of Semprons and see that in fact almost the whole list is repeated:

which makes me think that there must be 2 production series with some significant difference. But I've no idea what, sorry.

Maybe it's the processor stepping or cache size, there are several different versions of the A64 3800+ for example (one single core, one dualcore). But perhaps it's a boinc-stats issue rather than a boinc issue (try registering and asking in their shoutbox).

Thanks gents

I appreciate your responses ... I'll try a post over at BOINC stats and do some reading on the development cycle of the Sempron processors.
