I installed 5.8.8 on a Windows host. Now I cannot use BoincView on another computer to manage that host. Installing 5.8.8 on Linux does not cause the same problem.

The files gui_rpc_auth.cfg and remote_hosts.cfg are unchanged and still in place.


Using BV 1.4.1 Beta2 to link to a machine with 5.8.8. Works fine, just needed to reconnect the remote device. 5.8.5 also connects well with 5.8.8. Bit miffed that the column sorting is out of the latest version again.


What do you mean "reconnect the remote device"?

I have BV 1.4.1.B3........works with Linux 5.8.8, but not Windows.
