I am using BOINC vs. 5.10.45 and Windows XP-Pro on a laptop. Sometimes when the screen saver is running (I'm using Seti@home)and I move the mouse to start work again, the Seti app stops, I can see the mouse pointer moving, but the graphics remain on the screen.

I cannot get the graphics to disappear CTL-ALT-DEL does nothing, and I have to hold the power switch down to shut down the laptop and reboot.

Anybody else have this problem, or is it just me?

It's unlikely that anyone else will be having the same problem, because we all moved off BOINC 5 years ago, through 6, and are now on version 7.14.2
And in the process, the way that BOINC works changed completely.

Consider updating BOINC to the latest version. It works fine with Windows XP.
