Thought it had been solved but it seems as though the app needs to be opened and closed several times with a long wait before it gets past the BOINC splash screen. This happens whenever power is unplugged and the app is in the background. Could also happen while it is in open as well, haven't tried. I'm using a LG G7 ThinQ with the latest App version.

At the moment the development of the Android app is somewhat flaky. The 7.4.53 app in the store is from 2016, which at the time was for Android 6.0; all versions after that may work, or may not work. I've got this version to work on my devices up to Android 7.1, but anything beyond is just luck of the draw.

Thanks for the info Ageless. What is needed to help dev. on the app to become less flaky? I'm in no way a developer but would be interested in finding out how I can assist.
