A question without a question? In any event, it tells you the problem is in your ATI driver (_atikmpag.sys), not with BOINC. You can try to read through https://appuals.com/video_tdr_failure-atikmpag-sys-windows-8-110/ to see if there's a fix for you. Another possibility I see in the AMD forum is that your system can't use dual channel RAM. |

The problem occurs only when I am running BOINC |

BOINC by itself doesn't use your GPU, a project science application does. All BOINC does is detect the GPU according to the drivers installed. The project science application will do the rest, as long as OpenCL capability is installed. The GPU needs drivers to talk to the operating system. If something in these drivers isn't right, they will crash when under load. Be that Windows load, games load or the project science application load. The only way to overcome the problem you have is to try different drivers, older ones, newer ones. It isn't a BOINC problem. |
