Hello, First thank you for reading my post as it is frustrating that I cannot resolve an issue I am constantly receiving with the BOINC Manager. The issue I am having is the fact I just updated to the latest Client and now I see my Account and Team and previous work that has been accomplished but I can’t receive new work and no new work is being done (An time and machine power can save us all…?). It says Deferring scheduler requests… This is a problem, and hopes some how we can resolve this immediately and just to make a note; I am unable to use the Account Manager to use my account. Perhaps that is an issue in itself. Thank you, Lance |

Which Account Manager do you use? If any... BAM! or Grid Republic? An account manager is a third party site through which you can attach to one or multiple projects at the same time. Set it up on the site, tell BOINC to use the URL of that site and you're off. If you are just trying to attach to a project, tell which one and what specific problems you have with it. Also tell which version of BOINC you use. |

Which Account Manager do you use? If any... BAM! or Grid Republic? Hello, Thank you for the prompt reply; I truly appreciate the response time. I do not use anything except for the client called BOINC MANAGER Version 5.4.11 and part of the BBC Climate Change Experiment (Account: Lance Seidman, Team: Thinke Productions). When I try to attach myself to a project and insert the URL then my account details, it fails. |

Hi Lance For the past two days there's been a problem with the climate servers in Oxford. Some members have received hundreds or thousands of climate models (!) and at the moment there are no new models to distribute to othe people. The programmers in Oxford will be working on the problem on Monday. I suggest you should discuss this on the BBC Climate Change Experiment forum here http://bbc.cpdn.org/forum_forum.php?id=4 where the first topic is an announcement about this problem. There are suggestions about what to do until Monday or Tuesday. If you had completed your first climate model before you updated to the latest boinc client, no problem. But if you have a BBC model part-finished, you need to post about your update in the second thread of that page, because the BBC version of boinc and the standard version that you have now downloaded are installed to different directories on your computer. |
