Greetings, I can't find info in the wiki about setting up Cross-Project certificates for users. For that matter I don't see any info on Certificates in general. Project cross-project certificate link doesn't work (gives error) and it appears to point to: http://boinc.netsoft-online.com/get_user.php which gives an Forbidden error. I tried looking at the forum but there's no info in regards to how you configure this. Would someone be able to point us in the right direction? Thanks, Yavanius |

You're trying to set up the user account details on a project server web-site, right? Looking at a working project, the link should be calling cert_all.php on your own server - the actual call is at https://github.com/BOINC/boinc/blob/master/html/inc/user.inc#L191 The ultimate data will be retrieved from netsoft-online, which assembles all the official cross-project data from known projects for BOINC to use centrally. But that call is made a lot further down the web include spaghetti. |

http://boinc.netsoft-online.com/get_user.php IIRC, some morons were screen scraping stats from that page and creating too much load on the server. Because of that the page is accessible for only those in a whitelist. You need to get into contact with sysadmin there to get your project whitelisted. |

Yeah, I did get it contact with James. He got us setup so we get the stats. There was a sticky from 2007 there that apparently they overlooked updating. ;) I'm not sure who to contact in regards to the BOINC setup instructions on the wiki so the part about the certificates can be added in. But, I do these things... I just have to go touching stuff nobody else bothers toucheing and errors start happening... ^_^ ~Y |
