My projects stats page from BOINC here: Jack's stats Links to all projects that BOINC shows as "hidden" when, in fact, they have been selected as "viewable" for each project: Predictor LHC BURP SZTAKI Pirates SETI Beta uFluids QMC RALPH RCN RieselSieve Just trying to get my fair share for being one of the top single PC, 5+ project crunchers in "the biz" - should I contact BOINC for this? Or should I contact the project admins and have them change how they report their XML information re: user data to BOINC? |

My projects stats page from BOINC here: I suppose the problem is most probably in Boinc Conbined Stats. BOINCstats can see all your hosts except Burp and Project Neuron (hidden, have you revealed them recently? (last 1-2 days)). For instance, my hosts are visible in all my projects, but BOINC Combined Statistics claims three of them (Predictor, Spinhenge, Ralph) having hosts hidden. Peter |

Ok, it is mostly because those projects are not "active". The system is only using "active" hosts for the most part, but some of those projects are retired or out of work, or ??. I will work on fixing this issue in the next few days. |

Ok, it is mostly because those projects are not "active". The system is only using "active" hosts for the most part, but some of those projects are retired or out of work, or ??. I will work on fixing this issue in the next few days. OK, I looked again and noticed that all (currently 4) my projects, listen as having hosts hidden, have their RAC < 1.0 It is probably because of what you wrote previously: The ranking is correct. David Anderson requested that we only count "active" users when looking at the user counts, so the list now only counts those with a RAC >= 1.0 and I could fully understand such reasoning. Actually all of them (except Predictor@Home - no work) are being actively crunched, but because of the small share their RAC is just around 1.0 - once over, once under. So this could be the reason for the "hidden" claim. If I'm right, I'd suggest some different text, because hidden means something different in Boinc host's terminology (namely that the owner actively hides the obvious connection between him and his hosts) and it seems to confuse people (me too :-) Peter |
