hello ,
I am trying to setup boinc server on via on ubuntu 17.
I am following this link https://wiki.debian.org/BOINC/ServerGuide/Initialisation but i stuck at some step that is starting up daemons.

when i run $./bin/start (consider 1.3.3.2 on above link) i got some error that look like.

IOError: [Error 2] No such file or directory: '/var/lib/boinc-server/boinctest/pid_boincserver-virtualBox/start.lock.boincserver-VirtualBox

I am using ubuntu on Virtual Box and my username is boincserver.

please help me out.

This looks like the project directory in your config.xml is wrong. But I'm not sure. Please contact the Debian maintainer of the boinc-server-maker package or look at the troubleshooting section of the ServerGuide page.
