Hi, used to when I'd sign into the CPDN Seasonal Attribution Project's site everything was fine, but now when trying to sign in it claims that the email address is not in the database. It does work fine in BOINC though and shows the information for the account correctly. When clicking to go to the "Your Account" button for CPDN I am able to view some general account information there but can't edit any of the settings. Hope someone can help me, thanx.

Request your account key and use that one to log in with. Then change your password.

This is what I got:

There is no user with email address <e-mail address>.
Try reentering your email address.

Of course, you can't post anything in their message board without logging in, which I found interesting since some people may have problems with logging in for their account (lol).

And you say you do have an account and are running it?

In that case, exit BOINC. (Boinc Manager, File->Exit)
Navigate to your \\BOINC\\ folder.
Find and edit the file account_attribution.cpdn.org.xml with something like Notepad.

In the part of <authenticator>32 character key</authenticator> you'll find your account key. Copy it out, close the file (don't save or save as..), navigate to http://attribution.cpdn.org/home.php and paste the key where it's needed. Log in. Make sure cookies are on in your browser.

restart BOINC.

Thanks very much! :). All is in working order now. The problem was that I had accidentally added a letter that wasn't supposed to be there in my email address and fixed it and now I can sign in and out just fine. Problem solved! =o).

Yay! :-)

You're welcome.
Due to this post I requested that BOINC show somewhere during the logon process what account key you get. It appears the developers were already busy with something like that. A next version of BOINC will have a "show account keys" option under the Advanced menu in Boinc Manager.

So it does get to be better. :)
