BOINC Manager 5.4.11

I've used the right click on the BOINC icon and told it to "Snooze". I've also gone into the BOINC Manager and told it to "Suspend" both projects, but it's still eating exactly 1/2 (50%) of my CPU time constantly. How do I get it to really shutdown when I want all the CPU for other work?

Use Suspend from the menubar, under Activity. This suspends the whole of BOINC.
Or Suspend the Project (Boinc Manager, Projects tab, select a project, Suspend).

If you suspend individual tasks (under the Tasks tab), BOINC will download new work and start crunching that.
