Yes. Exit (not just close) BOINC Manager and install. It will restart task where it left off.

You can do it either way, some people prefer to Un-Install the previous Version 1'st and then Install the new Version. I know with some of the Versions that have come out it was better to Un-Install first to get rid of some of the clutter that the new version wasn't going to have ... :)

I am having trouble getting Boinc version 5.10.28 to post results often enough. Where is the paramater or configuration to change how often it uploads completed data? I have the same version running on several other machines and they work fine.

This machine is running VISTA.

Ideas>?

You can only indirectly affect it by setting your "Computer is connected to the Internet about every" setting low enough in your Global preferences section. Note the possible Venues (=Preferences: Primary/default, separate for Home, Work, School).

I have the same version running on several other machines and they work fine.

Are they bound to the same Venue as your problem host? If that's true, then it is not clear, what's actually your problem?
