Howdy,

I installed BOINC Manager, version 4.45 on my home Dell XPS system running Windows XP. My family has user accounts raging from Administrator to general user on this machine so I installed, under my account, in the multiuser mode which I assume gives them all the screen saver. I'm set up to use climateprediction.net, Enistein@home, LHC@home, ProteinPredictorAtHome and SETI@home.

Okay here's the problem: no graphics screen saver. The manager Show graphics button works, even with Enistein@home after I downloaded the beta software that works with the ATI card (I have the ATI RADEON X800 XT that came with the machine and runs Doom 3 very well ;).

I can also preview the screen saver okay; Display Properties, Screen Saver, Preview Button. At first the preview shows that BOINC manager is suspended (I set it up to only run when idle) and then the screen savers kick in. I've left it running this way for hours.

However if I just walk away from the computer the screen saver kicks in but is either blank, shows "BOINC Manager Status:" or the text status of one of the projects.

If you use fast user switching you should use the service type install. The other types can cause problems.
