I've got a balky copy of BOINC 5.2.12 installed (WinXP), and I'm trying to upgrade to 5.4.11. There is no uninstall option in the Start menu, I can't find an uninstaller in C:\\Program Files\\BOINC, and Add/Remove Programs can't uninstall it because it can't find the original .msi file. I tried aborted installs of 5.4.11 and 5.2.13, but it won't accept either of those installers as the right version to uninstall 5.2.12. Any ideas? And may I add that requiring the original .msi file to uninstall may not be such a hot idea. I suspect that some "tune-up" utilities consider old .msi files to be fair game for reclaiming disk space. |

Reinstall 5.2.12 over itself to repair the uninstall option. If need be, you can download it directly from this link. Then either install 5.4.11 directly over it, or use Add/remove Programs to uninstall the old BOINC version first. Not really necessary, but ok. The uninstaller can only be found in Add/Remove Programs. |

Thanks. The link to the 5.2.12 installer did the trick. |
