I've got a balky copy of BOINC 5.2.12 installed (WinXP), and I'm trying to upgrade to 5.4.11. There is no uninstall option in the Start menu, I can't find an uninstaller in C:\\Program Files\\BOINC, and Add/Remove Programs can't uninstall it because it can't find the original .msi file. I tried aborted installs of 5.4.11 and 5.2.13, but it won't accept either of those installers as the right version to uninstall 5.2.12. Any ideas?

And may I add that requiring the original .msi file to uninstall may not be such a hot idea. I suspect that some "tune-up" utilities consider old .msi files to be fair game for reclaiming disk space.

Reinstall 5.2.12 over itself to repair the uninstall option. If need be, you can download it directly from this link.

Then either install 5.4.11 directly over it, or use Add/remove Programs to uninstall the old BOINC version first. Not really necessary, but ok.

The uninstaller can only be found in Add/Remove Programs.

Thanks. The link to the 5.2.12 installer did the trick.
