I had to look up sneakernet. It is possible to run BOINC on a USB memorystick, as long as you let the same computer that downloaded the results upload them. The results are registered to the computer that downloaded them, by hostID. |

Is it possible to sneakernet with BOINC??? If you mean transfer data to another computer for crunching, it can be done with a lot of hassle. There are posts about how to do this on various project boards. The reason Boinc made this more difficult is that it was too easy on Seti-Classic and was exploited to cheat on credits. The rampent cheating that occured in Classic is less likely to happen with Boinc based projects because of the way Credits are issued, but I think the devs are still leery of providing an avenue that could be exploited.
